For children, there is also plenty to see and do. They can brush up their knowledge with a treasure hunt or backpack route, or have fun in the playground. A visit to Lelystad Nature Park is definitely worthwhile.

You can rent bikes at the Natuurpark for €5.50 a day. There are also duo bikes for rent, especially for people with a disability and their companion. These duo bikes cost €11 per bike per day. Bike hire is available during the visitor centre's opening hours.

For children, four treasure hunts are available at the visitor centre. The length varies from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Bad weather? Not to worry: there is also a trail at the visitor centre. The cost is €0.50 per child.
Backpacking routes
Several backpack routes are available at the visitor centre. Children complete various tasks and thus discover all kinds of things about the plants and animals in the Nature Park. The backpack route costs €2.50 per child and €10 deposit. Check the website for more information. The backpack route is also fun for a children's party!
Activities and excursions
Natuurpark Lelystad has a packed programme of regular and changing excursions, children's activities, workshops and events. The current programme can be found on the website. It is also possible to take group excursions by excursion car, excursion boat, on foot, or a combination of these.
