Waterhout campsite
Waterhout literally means water wood and when you enter the campsite you will instantly see why, as trees and water abound in every direction. There is the Vroege Vogelbos (Early Bird Woods) and the Wilgenbos (Willow woodlands), the lakes, Gooimeer and Ijsselmeer, and the Kromslootpark (Crooked Creek Park) natural landscape, along with the Oostvaardersplassen and Leegwaterplassen nature reserves. There are other large area of natural beauty in and around Almere, featuring attractive routes for (inline) skates and bicycle riders and ramblers. You can easily reach Flevoland's varied landscape directly from the campsite.
The toilet facilities are modern.
Would you like to spend the night in a tree house? In a comfortable chalet? Or on a (glamping) camping raft? It’s all here!
The Waterhout camp site also has bikes and canoes for hire.
Have a look at the website for more information.
