The Duikeend is a bird-spotting hut with a surprising element that we are not going to reveal of course. The hut looks out over a rather barren stretch of flat land that is ideal for common tern and black-headed gull colonies. In the nesting season, the parent birds are constantly coming and going to keep their chicks fed, and with a little luck, you can see the chicks wandering about while waiting for their food. The Duikeend enables you to look at swallows perched on a branch right in front of you, ducks swimming around and the bird colonies in the background. You’ve never been this close before!
